CHARLOTTE — Some of Charlotte’s largest employers are slowly returning to the office.
This month, Bloomberg reported Bank of America plans to bring back all of its U.S. workers — both vaccinated and unvaccinated — by June 1. Most Wells Fargo employees returned to work last month.
A return to the office may have you interested in shopping for a wardrobe update. With prices rising, Channel 9′s Deneige Broom asked shopping expert Trae Bodge for three tips to control your costs.
“First of all, if you haven’t been to the office in awhile, shop your closet first, because there may be clothes there that you bought right before COVID and they’re new to you,” Bodge said.
Second, Bodge recommends finding savings with websites that track down deals.
“Use deal sites. Deal sites are very, very helpful for saving on apparel,” she said. “Couponfollow.com is one I really like for that, because they have a browser extension that you can install, so as you’re shopping online it’ll let you know that there’s cashback you can use or coupon you can use.”
Thrift shops are also an affordable option to add nice clothes.
“And then I would also say buy secondhand, so for example, thredUP, Poshmark or The RealReal are all highly reviewed sites that have beautiful clothes that are a fraction of the price if you buy them new,” Bodge said.
