What to Buy in November (and What to Avoid!)

posted in: Monthly Deals

You may not be in the holiday spirit yet, but “Black November” is here, and that means sales and deals galore.

Everywhere you turn, you’re going to see promotional announcements from every retailer imaginable and those announcements will snowball as the month progresses. T

o avoid sale overload, make your gift list, set your budget and focus on the categories that will be the most deeply discounted this month, like electronics,

TV’s and fall apparel. Here’s what to buy in November (and what to avoid).

Electronics

With the recent release of the iPhone XS, XS Max and XR, we can expect the cost of older models to decrease especially closer to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.

Early in the month, we’re seeing deals on phone accessories and you’ll also find discounts on laptops, tablets, video gaming consoles and smart watches.

Because items in the electronics category can be higher ticket, set deal alerts on Slickdeals.net so you’ll be notified when the items you are seeking go on sale.

What Not to Buy in November

Furniture

The savings in this category are at their highest in December and January, due to the shipment of new models in February.

Holiday Decor

If you can hold off until next month, do.  Stores like Hobby Lobby, Kmart, and Macy’s will be anxious to clear space, so the discounts will deepen throughout the month, reaching clearance levels right after the holiday.
