When buying a gift for a person who has everything, a reliable route is a bespoke gift. After all, if the present is made just for them, they definitely don’t have it! Made-to-order gifts can sometimes take a while to make, so I thought now was the perfect time to share some of my favorite customizable gifts, giving you plenty of time to place your orders well before the holidays.
Abbott Lyon
This jewelry brand has lots of personalized options, and I’ve given gifts from their site with great success! One of my new finds is their best-selling Signature Name Necklace ($95), which can be ordered with up to 12 script characters. You’ll have the option to choose from four different chain styles, three lengths, and three chain colors. You can also add a birthstone pendant for an additional $18. As with all Abbott Lyon jewelry, the necklace is water, heat, and sweat-resistant and comes in beautiful, sustainable packaging. Ships in 12-15 days.
Bellissimo Custom Hats ($450 and up)
This high-end hat brand has lots of stylish pre-made options, but for the hat lover who has everything, why not a custom hat? You can choose from three Fedora styles in lots of felt colors, or a summery Panama option, which is what I chose. You can add a band color and a custom message of up to 15 characters inside the hat, and for an additional charge, you can add a feather and/or stud. If you think your recipient would prefer to design their own hat, gift cards are available. The hats take a while to make but they are worth the wait. I love my so much and can’t wait to wear it when the warm weather returns.
Do you know someone who is into astrology? Birthdate Co. will make a stunning personalized 70+ page book of horoscope analysis based on the date, time, and place of their birth. We rely on our phones for so many things so it’s important to protect them! I chose to customize one of their Mirror Cases ($46), and I had options for color, font and layout. It turned out great!

Do you have a pet lover on your list? Cuddle Clones can make a stuffed “clone” ($269) of their favorite furry friend based on a photo. They also have lots of other personalized pet-loving gifts, like blankets, socks, tees, and more. I ordered long-sleeve & pants PJs ($99, on sale for $59) – PJs are also available in short-sleeve & shorts. I provided a photo of my rabbit Willow and selected one of several colorful backgrounds. The finished product is crazy adorable!
CVS Photo
I’ve ordered a lot of things from CVS Photo over the years so this convenient service deserves a mention. From fleece blankets to mugs to calendars, their broad selection of customizable gifts can be easily designed and ordered on the CVS website to be shipped or picked up from a nearby CVS Pharmacy. I am a fan of their same-day gifts, like their Mounted Photo Panels and Desk Cubes, because we all have those last-minute gifting moments, right? For this story, I ordered their CVS Photo Keepsake Box ($29.99 and up), which is a lovely black 5.5” x 5.5” lacquer-treated box with a photo of your choosing on the top and perfectly sized for small items, like jewelry and other tiny treasures. It ships within 7 days.
Fifth and Cherry Custom Boards ($299 and up plus $35 for personalization)
For the gourmand on your list, these competition-grade wooden cutting boards from Veteran-owned Fifth and Cherry, make a really special gift. There are a variety of sizes available and you can add up to 20 characters of personalization with a choice of 2 fonts. Or you can upload a logo, making them ideal for a luxe business gift. The boards are built to last a lifetime and come in stylish gift packaging. Gift cards are also available. Personalization takes up to 4 weeks, so I am still waiting for mine.
Great Jones
This modern kitchen brand has beautiful high-end cookware available in eye-catching colors. Some of their items can be engraved with up to 25 characters ($40). I had a chance to try The Starting Lineup ($218, on sale for $160 at the time of ordering), which is available in three colors, pink, blue, or dark green. The set includes the Small Fry 8.5” frying pan, a 3.5-Quart ceramic Dutch oven, a ceramic, non-stick quarter sheet baking pan, and the engraved item; the Dutch oven lid, which also fits the frying pan. This is a great set for someone just starting out in their own place. Custom orders ship in 5-7 business days and the products arrive in beautiful boxes.
Groove Life silicone rings ($44.95)
If your partner is an adventurer or into sports and fitness (or they have lost their original wedding band, as my husband did), these comfortable silicone rings are the perfect sub for the real thing. Choose from a variety of styles and color combos and add your personal touch right on Amazon.
High Camp Flasks
These luxury stainless steel recyclable flasks have a magnetic locking system that attaches the accompanying tumbler to the flask in a flash. They come in several colors and you can choose from a variety of designs and text options, or you can upload a graphic & text or logo. I ordered the Firelight 750 ($150) which keeps 750ml of your beverage of choice hot or cold for 24 hours and comes with two magnetic tumblers that attach to either end. The flask arrives in a stylish gift box.
Mabel’s Labels
I’ve written about Mabel’s Labels over the years because I love their durable, customizable labels for clothing, shoes, and other essentials. In mid-October, they launched a Holiday Collection ($9.99-$30) of cute, personalized gift tags and stocking stuffer labels, holiday return envelope labels, and a return address stamp, perfect for all your holiday wrapping and shipping needs.

Many of these handcrafted jewelry pieces can be stamped with custom motifs, special dates, names, and more. I ordered my name on the Jude Bar Bracelet ($62) and I love it! It’s a sturdy paperclip-style bracelet that looks feminine and delicate. The customization is really easy; You can enter a word or cut & paste symbols in the text box. The bracelet is available in gold-filled, silver, or rose gold and in 6”, 7”, or 8”.
MyBevi ($13 and up)These budget-friendly travel tumblers and bottles can be customized for your recipient. Just click Custom in the dropdown menu for a variety of bottle options, and then upload a logo, choose from preset designs or add your own monogram or text in a font of your choosing. The bottles arrive in a gift box. I ordered the 20oz. Sonoma Tumbler ($30), which is an insulated tumbler with a simulated cork bottom. Great for sipping in the office or car!
Print Art Kids ($16.95 and up)
Print Art Kids can create a wide variety of items from kids’ artwork, including notecards, notepads, puzzles, and journals, all of which can be further personalized with names, dates, and captions in a selection of fonts and colors. A personalized note is free of charge and gift packaging can be added for a fee.
Ravensburger Photo Puzzles ($29.99 and up)
This beloved puzzle company now offers customized puzzles! There are over 120 options to choose from including piece count (24-2,000 pieces), layout options, and personalized outer packaging. Their simple five-step process takes minutes to complete, resulting in a unique and personal gift.
Rae of Light
A customized handbag for under $150? Yes, please! This brand is known for its acrylic clutches where you can add your name, a word, or initials and choose from a variety of colors, fonts, clasps, and shapes. They also have cute totes, like the customizable Mia Tote ($70), which is what my daughter Sadie – often my product guinea pig – selected. She was able to choose from two colors and added the symbol in the color of her choosing (she now carries it everywhere). The brand also has gift cards if you think your recipient would prefer to design their own bag.

For your photo-happy friend, this app will publish a personal 50-page magazine with between 25-150 photos, straight from their iPhone photos. The magazine is printed on Mohawk 100% cotton rag, acid-free paper using archival ink. When I made my own, I selected the dates of a recent vacation and in less than two minutes, I had a draft of my personalized vacation magazine. You can have more of a hand in selecting photos, but when you let the app do its thing, it uses an algorithm to create the layout of each page, organizing the photos based on their ratio and order. Gift cards are available and you can order a one-off, or a monthly or quarterly subscription.
R. Riveter
R. Riveter was founded by 2 military spouses to provide job opportunities for their fellow U.S.-based military spouses. The R. Riveter The Heirloom Collection ($75-$300) allows you to make a deeply personal handbag, travel bag, or another style, from a First Responder jacket or uniform, a perfect for the First Responder, military member, or family member of a serviceperson on your list.
They also offer a nutmeg and pumpkin candle ($25) that isn’t completely customizable but you can select from one of a variety of occasions from Just Because to Seasonal, and then choose from a handful of suggested messages for the candle. Each American-grown soy wax candle is hand-poured, ink-stamped, and phthalate-free.
Shutterfly (prices vary)
If you want to visit one site where you can custom-create a dizzying array of items, Shutterfly is your go-to. On the Shutterfly site, you can design anything from home items, like coat hooks, potholders, and wall art, to stationery items, like holiday cards, planners, and address stamps. My daughter, Sadie, created a personalized laptop sleeve and I customized a new doormat for our side door.
Siligrams Customizable Ice Cube Tray ($29.99 and up)
These USA-made custom ice molds are available in multiple colors, shapes, and sizes to fit your recipient’s glassware and taste. The molds can be customized with individual messages for each cube, or you can use one message throughout. I chose oversized square cubes that say “Drink Me”! The customization process is very easy and features a live preview. Order just one or several (bulk discounts are available for corporate customers).
Simbi
This collection of accessories is handmade in Simbi’s zero-carbon footprint manufacturing facility in Haiti. Options include bracelets, necklaces, hair ties, and more, and I thought their Engravable Charm Bracelets ($40) were a perfect fit for this story. You can choose from a variety of pure Haitian clay beads and the bronze circular charm can be personalized with up to 9 characters. Sadie ordered one with her name and she loves it! Allow 6 weeks for manufacturing.
SKORDO
This Maine-based company that specializes in delicious spice blends and rubs offers customizable Build Your Own Sets ($25 and up). Creating a set for your favorite home cook is fun and easy – you choose a box design and then select any four spices, blends, rubs, and salts & peppers. The packaging is really nice and ready for gifting, and they also have gift cards if you think your recipient would like to select their own.
State Bags
State bags manufacturers a whole host of stylish and durable bags, several of which are available with personalization with options for text, symbols and/or charms for an additional $20-$35. I chose their Lorimer Fanny Pack ($90 plus personalization), which is sporty, lightweight, available in 6 colors, and can be worn in multiple ways (I’m a crossbody gal). I customized mine with my initials and a cute heart. Every purchase helps to support STATE’s give-back efforts for children and families in need.
TAFT
This direct-to-consumer, men’s footwear brand recently launched a made-to-order program, TAFT X You ($275 and up) where you can design your own shoes. They also now offer extended sizing so people of all genders can wear their custom-made shoes and boots. The customization process is very cool; you can choose every aspect of the design, including the material, color, straps, buckles, laces, and sole. Gift cards are also available. Custom orders take up to 8 weeks. Be very careful about sizing. Mine ended up being a bit big.
unspun jeans ($150-$215)
Anyone have trouble finding the perfect pair of jeans? Unspun’s specialty is creating custom-fit jeans with the help of technology. You can choose from a selection of styles, as well as fabric, thread color, rise, length, and more. You then scan your body using their app for an accurate fit. If you’re giving Unspun as a gift, I would suggest a gift card for your recipient. Manufacturing takes up to 4 weeks. Mine turned out perfectly!
Well Told Custom Quote Glassware ($17.95 each)
Well Told, known for drinkware etched with maps, is now offering customers the opportunity to order their glassware with a name or favorite phrase. Choose from Rocks, Pint, Stemless Wine, and Glass Mugs, in a variety of font styles. I tested the service by sending a friend stemless wine glasses with a phrase that makes us laugh, and she loved them
(she has excellent taste). The items are very easy to customize on the Well Told site and ship within a few days.
Welly
Welly’s sustainable, insulated drinkware is made with a thick band of real bamboo, which gives the bottles an elegant look and feel. Customization includes up to 10 upper case letters in one font and the process takes one week. I chose the 18oz Traveler ($40), which is a triple-walled bottle with a removable infuser for making flavored water or tea, and it’s available in several colors/patterns. It’s a lovely bottle. I plan to sip tea from it all winter long!
Wild One Bowl ($35 + $10 for personalization)
This pet-lifestyle brand offers a sturdy, dishwasher-safe, non-slip 4-cup bowl made of food-grade stainless steel that can be personalized with up to 26 characters and a choice of 10 emojis for an additional $10. Bowls are available in 4 colors. I chose a black bowl for our rabbit, Willow, and we love it!
Windsor Vineyards (prices start at $24 for 2 bottles)
This Sonoma-based vineyard has been customizing wine bottles for over 60 years! You can choose from a broad selection of award-winning wines and customize the bottles with themed templates. Or, you have the option to create your own fully bespoke labels using the website’s easy-to-use design tool. I made mine using a photo of Willow. 🙂
