When I look back at the many, many, many products I’ve used this year, my mind spins. From the good to the bad and even the ugly, I’ve tried pretty much every trend I could get my hands on, with emphasis on the natural and organic. To save you the time, expense, and hassle of going through bottle after bottle to find that next serum or mask, I’ve rounded up my favorite beauty products of 2018!
HAIR
Aquis Prime System Starter Kit
This kit helps protect hair from the damaging effects of water. It’s an unusual approach, but very easy to use and really works. Get it here for $39 (reg. $49).
Nature’s Protein Coconut Restore Leave-In Conditioner
I received a sample size in a goody bag and fell in love. It controls frizz and defines curl with minimal crunch. And this big bottle goes a very long way. Get it here for $13.
Cantu Coconut Curling Cream
Use a touch of this if your hair is feeling dry. It’s an excellent moisturizer and can be blended with pretty much any stylng product. Get it here for $6.
Steel McClean Gel Cream
This is one of my all-time favorite styling products. It’s similar to the Coconut Restore (above) but adds a bit more shine. I go through it quickly, though, so it’s more of a treat. Get it here for $25.
FACE
Pure Bioderm Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin B5 Anti Aging Serum
My friend intro’d me to Pure Bioderm and their products are the real deal. They are formulated by dermatologists and they really work. This serum is a super hydrator – great for winter. Get it here for $29.
Olay ProX Micro-Peel
I actually discovered this one a couple years ago and have used it regularly, but I include it here because I took a chance and had my 12-year old daughter try it for some very persistent breakouts and it worked like a charm. Now, we both use it. Me for wrinkles and her for acne. It’s clear, mess-free and you leave it on overnight, so it’s much easier to use than a typical mask. Get it here for $19.
Alpyn Beauty PlantGenius Creamy Bubbling Cleanser
I love the citrusy smell and clean feel of this cleanser. Very invigorating, especially in the morning. Check out this brand – it’s new and contains really unique plant extracts. Get it here for $36.
Natura Brasil Bi-Phase Makeup Remover
This works like a charm and doesn’t irritate my eyes. A little bit goes a very long way.
Seriously Fab Zinc it Over, Unscented Sunscreen Mist
I’ve developed a sensitivity to most sunscreens and this is pretty much the only one I can use. It’s very lightweight and works really well under makeup. Get it here for $39.
Isdin Isdinceutics Flavo C Serum
Yes, I know this is $90, but as far as vitamin serums go, you can’t do much better. I actually use it with a facial brush and it makes my skin glow and look more firm. Get it here for $90.
InstaNatural Retinol Moisturizer Anti Aging Cream
For $20, this is a steal. Use it day or night for amazing hydration and nourishment. Get it here for $20.
LUMIFY Redness Reliever Eye Drops by Bausch & Lomb
Seriously, one drop of this soothing formula will relieve redness from the deepest sleep, a late night or a long, tiring day. Your eyes will look whiter, brighter and more vibrant in under a minute. Get it here for $12.
MAKEUP
Josie Maran Vibrancy Full Coverage Concealer Fluid
My favorite concealer hands-down. It’s magical. Get it here for $28.
Hourglass Arch Brow Volumizing Fiber Gel
Really great for making the brows look fuller. I use it straight up if I’m doing TV, but for day to day, I usually brush a little on and then brush over it with Maybelline Clear Brow Gel. Get it here for $28.
BODY
Seed Phytonutrients Hand Salve
This is a super rich hand salve that smells great. I keep it in my desk drawer and give myself a hand massage every day. Get it here for $22.
The Body Shop Hemp Foot Protector, Paraben-Free Foot Cream
Smells great and really softens dry feet. I use it before I put socks on and it keeps my feel smooth. Get it here for $17.
