Here’s what will be on sale this month, and what to skip:

National Pet Week (May 3-9)
Pet owners rejoice! During this week, you’ll be able to find discounts on all sorts of pet products, from pet supplies and food to pet memorabilia.

Small Business Week (May 3-9)
During this week, small business owners will find deals on products and services for entrepreneurs, including phone service and membership fees. Also, the Small Business Expo hosts free networking events (virtual and IRL) throughout major US cities.

Mother’s Day (May 10)
Leading up to Mom’s special day, we’ll see sales on gift sets, giftable items, flowers, and jewelry.

Memorial Day Weekend (May 23-25)
We can rely on 3-day weekends, like Memorial Day, for deep discounts across many Home categories, including mattresses, indoor & outdoor furniture, and appliances.

Spring Apparel
At this point in the season, spring apparel will be on clearance, so it’s a great time to stock up on warmer-weather items that can transition to summer.

SKIP:

Summer apparel. You could find some sales on summer clothing over Memorial Day weekend, but it’s best to wait until mid-to-late summer (if you can) for the best buys. The longer you wait, the deeper the discounts will be.

Computers and electronics. Wait until July for Holiday in July sales, early Back-to-School sales, and Amazon Prime Day sales.
