Happy July!
This month will be quieter than usual because Amazon Prime Day, Target Circle Week, Walmart Deals, and other major sales took place in late June this year instead of July, like they usually do (rumor has it that this timing was chosen to avoid scheduling conflicts with the World Cup).
But, this month won’t be a wash! July 4th will be packed with sales, and many larger retailers are having their usual July sales:
• The Nordstrom Anniversary sale will be from the 18th through August 9th (cardmember early access on the 14th).
• I’m expecting Macy’s to have its semi-annual clearance sale this month, although they often don’t announce the dates in advance.
July 4th sales are already happening or will begin this week and run through the 5th or 6th. You can expect to save big on large home appliances, mattresses, outdoor gear, and, of course, patriotic items. You’ll also start seeing sales on summer-specific clothing and other summer-related items, as well as special restaurant pricing centered on our 250th anniversary.
SKIP/WAIT: I would wait on school supplies until late July/early Aug, and summer items will be more deeply discounted around Labor Day.
Happy shopping!
