Happy May! It’s the beginning of the month, so it’s time for Best Buys, where I share what categories will have the best deals this month.
Here’s what to buy:
- All things pets: It’s Pet Week, so retailers will have sales on all sorts of pet essentials.
- Mother’s Day: Mother’s Day is Sunday, so get your gift asap! Thankfully, lots of gifts – including jewelry – will be on sale.
- Memorial Day Weekend – you know I love 3-day weekends for sales, and this will be a big one, especially for pricey purchases, like appliances and mattresses.
Here’s what to skip: Summer clothes:
- You may see a “teaser” deal here and there, but the discounts won’t be deep right now.
- Electronics: late-June/early July is a better time to look for deals on things like laptops and smart speakers.
