What Not to Buy in February
Flowers
Flowers are more like a “maybe.” They are a Valentine’s Day staple, but prices are often inflated and then discounted, so sale prices can be deceiving. Always comparison shop, and if you’re ordering online, order at least a full week before February 14 so you don’t end up paying express shipping charges.
Small Electronics
Avoid purchasing small consumer electronics this month. Items such as laptops, desktops, tablets, and video game consoles are best bought in July around Amazon Prime Day and “Black Friday in July” events and in November, during Black Friday/Cyber Monday sales.
