Beauty Secrets: Jennifer Walsh

posted in: Beauty Secrets

This week’s muse is Jennifer Walsh. I met Jennifer years ago in her Beauty Bar days. If you are not familiar, Beauty Bar was a revolutionary retail concept with brick and mortar stores, e-commerce, and a weekly beauty TV program, through which Walsh helped launch and grow hundreds of beauty brands.

Walsh sold Beauty Bar in 2010 and today she consults for brands around the world, appears on TV regularly discussing business, retail, entrepreneurship, and beauty, and lectures for groups and universities around the country. When she’s not working, you can usually find Jennifer taking pictures in around Central Park in NYC!

Here are Jennifer’s beauty secrets:

  1. “My number one beauty trick is exercise! That might sound odd coming from someone in the beauty industry but I have been involved in sports my entire life and I can see a real difference in my skin when I get the blood flowing. I love to run, box and am semi addicted to Fly Wheel.

The overall health of my body is reflected in my skin and when I am active, my skin glows.

2. I drink a ton of water every single day which I know helps our largest organ stay healthy and balanced and with the amount of exercise I do, I understand it’s importance even more so.

3. I do have a few products that are my go-to’s and I don’t know what I would do without. My all time favorite lipstick is by Nars is Joyous Red. It gives you just enough red to give you a great pout. I have been using Urban Decay eye liners for years and love the 24/7 Waterline Eye Pencils because they are long-lasting and keep up with me & my crazy schedule (some days I leave the house at 5am to do a morning TV show & won’t step back in my door until 11pm). I love all of the shades, as they can reflect my mood ~ am I feeling a bright shade of blue, green or purple or do I keep it classic with black or brown?”
