There’s plenty of buzz about this online shopping day, this year on November 26. But, what’s really worth clicking “buy” for? Here are the Cyber Monday sales you’re better off not adding to your cart.

Cyber Monday sales are some of the best deals of the year – usually. But without researching store sales for Cyber Monday, you could actually be wasting money. Here's what you should know to save money! #cybermonday #cybermondaydeals #cybermondaysales #cybermonday2018

Linens

Wait on buying those new bed sheets and towels. “Since the late 1800s, January has been the month of ‘white sales,’ when all manner of linens go on sale,” says Trae Bodge, shopping expert for TrueTrae.com. “Many stores, like West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, and JCPenney, slash prices on sheets and bedding to make way for new spring merchandise.”

What can you score a good deal on now is mattresses. From now thru Cyber Monday, Nest Bedding is offering $150 to $200 off select mattresses and a free sheet or, on Cyber Monday only, the entire site is 15 percent off.

Fitness and Wellness

“Gym memberships, workout DVDs, and fitness equipment are all more favorably priced in January,” says Bodge. “Last January, we saw deals from sports retailers like Dick’s, 24-Hour Fitness and Footlocker,” says Bodge. Instead, splurge on an online hotel deal. Knowing that you’ll be hitting the beach in a few months can be all the inspiration you need to tone up.

Jewelry

“While jewelry can make the perfect holiday gift, we don’t often see deep discounts in this category right before Valentine’s Day,” says Bodge. You might, however, find bargains on watches. For example, this Fossil Gen 3 Smartwatch is 40 percent off at Target. You won’t want to miss these 60 best Amazon Prime gifts for everyone on your list.
