My Favorite Beauty Picks from the 2019 Best New Product Awards

posted in: Beauty & Wellness

You know how much I love beauty products, so naturally, I was excited to test out the beauty winners in BrandSpark’s Best New Product Awards (BPNA’s) of 2019. If you’re not familiar, the BPNA’s are the best product awards across a broad range of categories, including Food & Beverage, Household, and of course, Beauty.

The winners are determined by regular people, rather than beauty experts. I personally find the BPNA’s to be helpful because, like 42% of consumers, I feel like there are just too many new products on the shelves. And, while I like to see what industry experts prefer, I also like to hear what actual consumers choose.

Out of all the beauty winners, I have some personal favorites from the 2019 Best New Product Awards that I wanted to share with you in case you’re looking to treat yourself to something new:

Burt’s Bees Lavender & Honey Body Wash ($9)

This refreshing body wash is made with 98.7% natural ingredients. It has a mild, relaxing scent and it left my skin feeling clean, but not dry. It’s also great for shaving legs and underarms and won’t clog your razor like a shaving cream would.

Revlon ColorStay Prep & Protect Primer ($12)

Great for all skin types, this lightweight primer creates a smooth canvas for your foundation, but it also contains a SPF 34 to protect your skin all year ‘round. It is lightly moisturizing, but also absorbs oil throughout the day.

AVEENO Ultra-Calming Makeup Removing Wipes ($6)

These oil-free wipes are some of the best I’ve tried for removing makeup. They dissolve makeup quickly, requiring very little rubbing. They are a good choice for sensitive skin types, as they contain calming ingredients, like Feverfew, which soothes the skin and prevents irritation.

Rimmel London Wonder’fully Real Mascara ($6)

I love the level of control that this mascara provides. I have curly lashes, which, with certain mascaras can make applying mascara a messy experience! Even just one coat lengthened my lashes like nobody’s business and kept my unruly lashes in place all day.

Neutrogena Hydro Boost Water Gel Lotion Sunscreen with Broad Spectrum SPF 50 ($10)

Great for face or body, this oil-free, water-resistant sunscreen provides broad spectrum protection without the white streaks. It hydrates for up to 8 hours but has a very lightweight feel. And, the 3oz. tube is TSA-approved, making it a must for travel!

Crest Gum Detoxify Deep Clean Toothpaste ($7)

I have no idea whether or not this toothpaste detoxifies my gums, but I can say that my teeth and gums feel cool and extra clean after brushing. If you like a toothpaste that feels like it’s actually doing something, this one’s for you.
